In Boston a Celebration for 150 Years Marist Presence in USA

On Pentecost Sunday the Marists of Our Lady of Victories Shrine in Boston celebrated the 150th anniversary of the Marists arrival in the United States, and the Marist Province's 130th year of service to the people of Boston at Our Lady of Victories Shrine. In 1891, when the USA was still considered as missionary territory for the Catholic Church, the Shrine was created as a French national Church to minister to the French speaking community. Cardinal Sean O'Malley, Archbishop of Boston, and Fr. Ted Keating sm, Marist provincial, concelebrated the joyous mass with a large congregation of Marists, parishioners and friends.
