Two new books written by Marist confreres were launched recently:

Fr Andrew Murray sm published “Thinking Things Through: Essays in Philosophy and Christian Faith” (ATF Press). Fr Andrew Murray is a Senior Lecturer in Philosophy at the Catholic Institute of Sydney. His interests are in the history of philosophy, political philosophy, rhetoric and knowledge. Between 1996 and 2001 he wrote a column for The Catholic Weekly, and it is these essays that are published in this volume.

Fr Gerry Arbuckle sm published “Humanizing Healthcare Reforms”. Inhis book he argues that a values-based approach would change healthcare and systems and be a much better approach to healthcare than the current financial perspective. During 2010 Fr Gerry Arbuckle worked at Campion Hall, Oxford University, researching issues confronting the National Health Service in England. In 2011 he gave the Martin D’Arcy Memorial Lectures at Oxford University upon which this book is based.
